How Do Credits Work?

Maybe you aren’t as old as some of us, but at one point your phone would show you the Character Count when texting. In the world of text messages, 160 characters is still the standard for measuring a text message. This may be confusing if you are used to sending a message with Apple’s iMessage.

We want to make it really simple for our users and that’s why we created Credits. A credit represents a 160 character text. When you send a mass text, it might take 2 or 3 credits to send each text; due to the length of the message that is being sent. We would also like to remind you that you can reach out to our dedicated team for tips on sending messages. Keeping a text short and simple will have the most impact.

At the end of each month when you have extra credits, they will rollover to the next month. You can carry over a two full months of credit at any time, giving you up to three times your monthly plan allocation.

Depending when you sign up for TextAware and how you use the service, you may see two charges on your billing statement – (1) the plan recurring charge and (2) if by chance you go over your available credits, you’ll be charged for texts over your credit limit.
